John Parker - a brief biography

John Parker is indeed what you would call a “veteran” of the entertainment business. Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, he was encouraged by his grandparents -his grandfather a concert violinist (turned town medical Doctor), his grandmother a trained vocalist/pianist. From age three until he was twelve, John studied classical piano. As a high school student, John studied extensively under the nationally acclaimed Dr. David Berlin, (noted theory, composition, and electronic music expert) performing concurrently with various basement bands on keyboards, and doing, as he puts it, “a little” singing.
In college John studied business, and performed in his first of many professional bands – playing mostly on weekends in bars and nightclubs. During college, John took to the road, playing keyboards and singing with his band “GIMIX”, and later with a band of his own name. This band performed Hotels, Nightclubs, and Casinos throughout the world, and earned a reputation as one of the East Coast’s most talented acts.
John auditioned and appeared on the television program “Star Search” as a solo vocalist, prompting numerous other appearances, as well as various articles about him, as well as notoriety in the highly competitive studio singing business. It was at this time that John was picked up by several Pittsburgh and New York Talent agencies to do photographic modeling, television commercials, and various singing recording session work. Today John can be seen as a representative for local, regional & national concerns, heard on many radio advertisements, as well as seen on television in various capacities.
John Parker at this point has literally appeared at every high-end event venue in the East Coast. There’s no curveball too sharp you can throw him!
Given his notoriety on the private party scene, love for his kids & surfing – John Parker is currently available for special events and limited concerts only.
- John has lived in Manhattan & Las Vegas..
- he's blessed to call Palm Beach, Pittsburgh & the Jersey shore “home”
- with family members & homes in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Singer Island Florida & LBI New Jersey.
