Brittany & Nick celebrated their super-fun wedding reception in style at the elegant Omni William Penn.

Joined by over two-hundred friends and family members, they celebrated in style with the music of John Parker Band!

Britanny was clad in a gorgeous floor-length gown.

The newlyweds held their reception in the stunning ballroom at the William Penn.

Their place card table was accented by lovely flowers provided by Allison McGeary.

The couple shared their first dance to the song “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur.

Cookies Galore! A table filled with sweets from Prantl’s Bakery was presented shortly after dinner.

Guests had a blast on the dance floor busting a move to songs from The John Parker Band!

Jorjetta & Ryan ~ Nemacolin Resort & Spa

Jorjetta and Ryan came together as husband and wife at a gorgeous venue, the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa. The couple meticulously planned their ceremony and reception to their liking. The ceremony took place outdoors, their reception space was beautifully decorated, and a top live wedding band performed for most of their day. There were plenty of outdoor spots for their photographer, Fineline Weddings, to capture the bride and groom in their element. We bet they will cherish those photos and memories for years to come, as well as the amazing performance by the John Parker Band!

The bride wore a mermaid style wedding dress. Her gown was ivory and the bodice was intricately woven in silver thread. She looked radiant in the soft light here, taken at the Chateau Lafayette, a hotel on the grounds of the venue. The bridal party was able to get ready for the day there before heading off to the ceremony.

What a pretty group of ladies! Their dresses were perfect for an evening of dancing; soft and light! The girls all carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

We love the color scheme of the wedding- blue, gray, white, and pink. The groom wore a dark blue tux, with his groomsmen below in gray. So handsome and sophisticated, this group must have been ready for the night ahead with drinks, dinner, and dancing!

The ceremony was picturesque, outside on the grounds of the resort. For the ceremony a strings trio was provided by John Parker. The bride and groom exchanged their vows under a grand altar wrapped in satin and decorated with roses.

We love these two photos of the happy couple after their ceremony. Calm and collected, the nerves gone. It would soon be time to party with John Parker Band! Cocktails were in full swing with the strings trio playing sweetly for the crowd.

The ballroom was decorated with tall centerpieces by Neubauer’s Florist. Tables were covered in lace, gold silverware adorned the pearled chargers, and menus were tucked in gray napkins. The cake was the perfect addition to the decor, a decadent creation of white and pink.

John Parker Band announced the bridal party into the reception when it was time to enter the ballroom. The night was off to a great start as the bride and groom shared their first dance to “All of Me”. The dance floor was in the center of the room and everyone gathered around to watch the happy couple. Then, the groom shared a song he had picked out for his bride, “Gorchivo Vino”.

Throughout the night the bride and groom’s Greek and Bulgarian culture was celebrated with music and traditional customs. Guests had a blast as John Parker Band was able to play lots of Greek music & guests’s requests. The band also lead the tradition of breaking the bread. It’s a fun one- the mother’s of the groom and bride hold and feed the couple a portion of bread. Then the best man has to break the bread over their heads to see who will be the spender and bread winner!

Later in the evening guests had a blast during the money dance, another Greek tradition. The bride and groom were blessed with plenty of good fortune as their family and friends threw bills in the air! The band changed it up a bit to play top hits from today and some of the bride and groom’s favorite oldies, such as “Build Me Up Buttercup” and “September”. There certainly was something for everyone to enjoy and put on their dancing shoes. The party continued on late into the night with a fireworks display – even more dancing with the band – and THEN an after party, where John Parker Band acted as DJ. What a night to remember!

Andy & Molly ~ Hotel Monaco Wedding

Andy and Molly’s wedding was an upscale celebration at the Hotel Monaco. With many out of town guests, the couple knew they wanted to have their ceremony and reception in one location. The hotel accommodated all their wishes by providing a large ceremony space, rooftop cocktails, and beautiful ballroom.

The bride and groom envisioned an amazing party and there was no way to do that without a fantastic live band. The couple enlisted the premier John Parker Band to perform all evening long at their reception. Everyone enjoyed nonstop dancing, singing, and popular music!

We love this photo taken of the groom before seeing his bride. The couple chose to do a first look, which is when a bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. They were able to take many photos together with their photographer, Christina Montemurro.

The bride looked glamorous. Her dress was sleeveless with a high neckline, sparkly belt, and full skirt. Her bouquet was an array of gold, white, and yellow blooms. It was exquisitely done by My Garden Floral.

Their ceremony space was so pretty with cream floral arrangements and a white aisle runner. We love the cool design of the carpet too! And the John Parker Band played music during the ceremony.

What a great shot of guests mingling during cocktail hour. A rooftop is certainly the place to be! Guests must have been eager for the reception to start to listen to some awesome music by John Parker Band. They were all set to start the night off with introductions in the ballroom.

The ballroom was decorated tastefully with white flowers and black tablecloths. Votive candles were scattered throughout the room and impressive light fixtures hung from the ceiling. The dance floor was in the middle of the room with John Parker Band all set up. The bride and groom had their first dance to the song “El Camino”.

Guests listened to toasts from the mother of the bride, best man, and maid of honor as the first course was served. Afterwards the groom and his mother danced to “Standing on the Moon”.

The night started off with popular hits to bring everyone out on the dance floor. The band wanted all their guests to have a great time and playing familiar songs is definitely the way to go! The couple had a few songs they requested to be played, including “Wagon Wheel” and “Shake It Off”.

The newlyweds trusted the band to make the right choices of what songs to play. John Parker Band had a few tricks up their sleeves with groovy lighting, energetic band members, and swinging tunes. Jonathan & Elizabeth ~ Country Club Wedding

Weddings are not just about the bride and groom, they are also about family. Jonathan and Elizabeth’s family were a part their special day. Many of their family members were in the bridal court. Their photographer, Jessica Vogelsang, captured some beautiful memories of the bond between the bride and her sisters, and the groom with the ring bearers. The couple chose a sophisticated venue for their reception, where they shared emotional dances with their parents, as the premier live wedding band, John Parker Band, performed.

The ladies looked lovely. The maids of honor wore silver sequin gowns and carried bouquets of white roses and gray flowers. The bride wore a sweetheart gown with lace and delicate beading.

The bride’s bouquet matched the flower girl’s crown of white roses and baby’s breath. The bride’s tear drop earrings, diamond bracelet, and hair pendant completed her ensemble.

The youngest flower girl waited patiently to do her very important job! Isn’t she the sweetest? Both flower girls wore matching gold dresses and shoes.

How joyous was the groom, showing off festive socks. He wore a blue suit, seasonal tie, and white shirt. His patent shoes shined and a rose was pinned to his lapel. What a great looking groom!

The ring bearers wore blue jackets like the groom with beige pants and shoes. They held hands as they timidly walked down the aisle of the grand St. Michael’s of the Valley church. Soon they would not be so shy, out on the dance floor!

Everyone rejoiced once the bride and groom were announced husband and wife. Guests headed to the reception at an exclusive country club after the ceremony, eager to hear the sounds of John Parker Band.

Guests were greeted by the band playing festive jazz music as they mingled and munched during cocktail hour. The country club was aglow with lights and a large evergreen tree stood in the center of the room. The newlyweds waltzed in once the band started to play their song, “You Are The Best Thing”. All the couples in the room were invited to join in before the song came to an end.

John Parker Band played holiday tunes as guests enjoyed a sit down dinner. The father of the bride toasted to the happy couple and the maid of honors also raised their glasses to the bride and groom. The band began to play “My Girl” for the bride to dance with her father. There must not have been a dry eye in the room!

The groom also shared a dance with his mother. As requested the band played “You Raise Me Up”. Guests were invited to join in right before the song ended. The party was just about to start rolling- but first, cake!

John Parker Band performed many of the bride and groom’s favorite songs. The couple chose a variety of tunes for the band to play, including classic rock, fun oldies, and top hits from today. There was something for everyone to enjoy, guests from all ages crowded the dance floor and were having fun!

The party was an absolute blast. Guests did not stop dancing the whole night, which is exactly what the bride and groom hoped for. The band played late into the night, cranking out hit after hit. We loved seeing everyone enjoy the live entertainment!

Suzanne and Chris – Shakespeare’s Castle

One of our favorite rustic weddings took place at Shakespeare’s. From the outside, the venue appears to be an ancient castle, with large wooden doors, stone walls, and green vines. Suzanne and her court looked absolutely stunning; her bridesmaids wore dark dresses and had deep red roses in their bouquets, perfect for a fall wedding. The girls wore sparkly earrings and donned side swept hairdos, so soft and pretty. Suzanne’s mermaid dress was a dreamy confection of white lace, with a sweetheart top, and small train. Her hair fell to her shoulders in loose waves and her simple jewelry was just the right touch.

Suzanne and Chris tied the knot on the Terrace, an outdoor space on site of their venue. The sun shone behind the altar, which was wrapped in crisp white tulle. The first row of chairs were tied with pink ribbons and a trail of rose petals lined the cobblestone aisle.

Chris and his groomsmen looked dashing in their dark jackets and pinstriped gray pants. We love the matching bow ties and white and gray pocket handkerchiefs. What a day of happiness for Chris, in the center of the group, grinning from ear to ear!

Suzanne’s bouquet was a true work of art. Her flowers were done by Posies by Patti and we just loved the mix of full blooms, with roses, peonies, and dahlias. The light colors blended together beautifully, with hints of pink, lavender, and peach. If you take a closer look, the stems are wrapped in a lace fabric and pinned together with several small white pearls.

Suzanne and Chris hired the top wedding band to perform, the John Parker Band. For their first dance, the couple selected the popular song “More Than Words”.

The grand ballroom at Shakespeare’s Restaurant glowed with dimly lit chandeliers and votive candles. Every table was draped in white, with a lacy overlay, and petite vases were filled with roses. The dance floor offered ample space for guests to party the night away to the tunes of John Parker Band.

JDRF Rainbow Gala ~ Westin Convention Center

The JDRF Rainbow Gala was held at the Westin Convention Center. The event takes place every year in hopes to raise money and awareness to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The formal affair featured a silent auction, raffle, and sit down dinner. John Parker Band was invited to perform at the event and entertained nearly 1000 guests all night long.

The band was ready and waiting for guests to filter in to the ballroom after cocktails. A large stage with fun lighting and silver chandeliers was the perfect back drop.

John Parker, the leader of the band, looked sharp in his flashy suit jacket and white bow tie.

Emily and Colin’s wedding was a glamorous event: all white, gold and lots of flowers. The pair married at the chic boutique Hotel Monaco and then hosted their reception at the always stunning Fox Chapel Golf Club.

Did we mention all the flowers? From the alter at the ceremony to Emily’s bouquet to the cake and, naturally, the table floral arrangements, Mt. Lebanon Floral helped transform every aspect of the wedding into something truly magical. The lush greenery mixed with the lovely pastel flowers is such a pretty contrast!

The reception tables were particularly gorgeous. The gold chairs really set off the crisp white linens and the mix of scale between the short and tall arrangements helped create depth in the glamorous space. The trailing greenery on the table’s candelabras was a fresh, modern detail that helped set the decor apart.

As for sweet treats…why just have a cake when you can have a cake and a dessert table? Emily and Colin employed the help of the talented folks at Bella Christine’s to create a whole host of sugary goodies for the wedding’s guests. For the cake, the couple went whimsical; the gold chevron pattern mixed with the fresh flowers is simple and cute. The dessert table is a mecca of all things cake: cupcakes, cake pops….and the classic sugar cookie. Dessert tables are a fun way for guests to participate in the festivities, letting them customize their last course!

And what better way to burn off that sugar buzz than with a lot of dancing? The John Parker Band kept the fun going well into the night with their signature blend of high energy and a personalized setlist. We think it’s pretty obvious from all these smiling faces that Emily and Colin’s guests absolutely loved dancing the night away with The John Parker Band!

A storybook summer day for a storybook wedding; this past July 18th was a beautiful sunshine-y day and was the day that Meghan and Andy committed their love for each other in front of their family and friends!

The couple said their vows at St. Bernard’s – a stunningly grand Pittsburgh cathedral with incredible stained glass windows and metalwork that is truly awe-inspiring. After the ceremony, photographer Michael Will ushered the newlyweds to some seriously photogenic spots to capture their just-married smiles in the sun.

Meghan’s dress was a timeless lace gown with feminine cap sleeves and fitted bodice. It was elegant and fun – just like the bride! The bridesmaids wore super stylish navy blue peplum dresses and the guys kept it classic in black. The ladies carried elegant and simple rose bouquets created by Jim Carlucci at Della Robbia.

For the reception, Meghan and Andy chose the Club at Nevillewood, with gorgeously manicured grounds and bright, airy interiors. The white chairs and green tablecloths lent a summery, playful element to the dining room while the crystal candle holders added a touch of glamour. Local vendors Lendable Linens and Elegant Chairs were responsible for providing the pieces that created the fresh, fun look.

After dinner, it seems the entire wedding party and guest list spent all their time on the dance floor! Meghan and Andy mixed it up with old favorites like Etta James’ “At Last” and Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” with new hits like “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor and “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift. Basically, there was something for everyone!

Because they’re such a fun-loving couple, Meghan and Andy decided that in addition to their rose wedding cake, they also wanted an entire pastry table! Again, amazing local vendors Food Glorious Food and Pastries ala Carte provided the sweet treats.

JW Marriott Hotel Miami Gala – Young Patronesses of the Opera

“Vegas Live!” was the theme for the 2013 Young Patronesses of the Opera gala held this November at the JW Marriott Hotel, and renowned local entertainers John Parker Band brought the theme to life with a dynamic show worthy of any Las Vegas stage!

As their website explains, the Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO) “is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor, educate and develop the understanding, taste and love of opera in our community.” The organization is comprised of nearly 100 women who volunteer their time to the mission and bring opera education and opportunities to children and adults.

These ladies are tireless in their efforts, and they know how to party too! The 2013 gala shimmered with all the glitz and fun of Vegas, and the band had a blast performing for everyone who came out to generously support the organization.

YPO leaders and supporters even joined the band for a few songs, and president-elect Lee sent us the fantastic photo above! After the event, she wrote, “Thank you for a great job, and being so wonderful to work with. I have encouraged [the President Elect for next year] to use your wonderful band and assured her that you will work with whatever their theme is.”

Thank you to Lee and to the ladies of YPO! It was certainly a night to remember, and we look forward to working with you again for future galas!
