With a top wedding band, fantastic music, and tons of family and friends in attendance, Kristi and James had quite the wedding celebration! Truly a night to remember. The couple held their reception at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe. John Parker Band had an absolute blast coordinating with the couple in celebrating their heritage with Greek music and traditional dances.
The ceremony was held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. After the bride and groom exchanged vows, guests headed over to the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Wearing a corset dress with silver flowers, the bride looked flawless. Soft locks of hair framed her face, long earrings dazzled in the sun, and sheer sleeves completed her ensemble. Their photographer, Amber Marie Photography, captured the bride perfectly.
The bride carried a bouquet of pink, purple, and green flowers. We loved the accents of red and assorted greenery. Their florist, Donati Florist, is truly talented. The centerpieces featured the same colors and were accompanied by tall pillar candles.
“The band was fantastic at our wedding!”
John Parker Band® welcomed guests to the dance floor once cocktail hour came to a close. Fun tunes encouraged guests to the dance floor before the bridal party was introduced. The bride and groom shortly waltzed in and had their first dance as husband and wife. The band played “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)”.

Soft music wafted through the ballroom as guests enjoyed dinner. John Parker Band called for the parents of the bride and groom to share a dance and then to join in for the traditional Greek dance! Family members joined the couple on the dance floor until the entire crowd was up and out of their seats. The night continued to buzz with energy as the band performed hit after hit, pausing for Greek music and playing 70s and 80s hits. Guests enjoyed themselves all night, grooving to the tunes.
“Guests could not get over it, our wedding felt like a show!”

Emily and Colin – Fox Chapel Golf Club
Emily and Colin’s wedding was a glamorous event: all white, gold and lots of flowers. The pair married at the chic boutique Hotel Monaco and then hosted their reception at the always stunning Fox Chapel Golf Club.
Did we mention all the flowers? From the alter at the ceremony to Emily’s bouquet to the cake and, naturally, the table floral arrangements, Mt. Lebanon Floral helped transform every aspect of the wedding into something truly magical. The lush greenery mixed with the lovely pastel flowers is such a pretty contrast!
The reception tables were particularly gorgeous. The gold chairs really set off the crisp white linens and the mix of scale between the short and tall arrangements helped create depth in the glamorous space. The trailing greenery on the table’s candelabras was a fresh, modern detail that helped set the decor apart.
As for sweet treats…why just have a cake when you can have a cake and a dessert table? Emily and Colin employed the help of the talented folks at Bella Christine’s to create a whole host of sugary goodies for the wedding’s guests. For the cake, the couple went whimsical; the gold chevron pattern mixed with the fresh flowers is simple and cute. The dessert table is a mecca of all things cake: cupcakes, cake pops….and the classic sugar cookie. Dessert tables are a fun way for guests to participate in the festivities, letting them customize their last course!
And what better way to burn off that sugar buzz than with a lot of dancing? The John Parker Band kept the fun going well into the night with their signature blend of high energy and a personalized setlist. We think it’s pretty obvious from all these smiling faces that Emily and Colin’s guests absolutely loved dancing the night away with The John Parker Band!
If Colin and Emily’s wedding looks like your idea of an amazing wedding, please don’t hesitate to contact any of their vendors! And if these happy faces dancing the night away makes you want to break out your own dancing shoes, be sure to drop John Parker Band a line to chat about them playing at your own big day!
