My tip (besides hiring this band): Don't give them too many music recommendations. Give them a general idea of what you like & don't, and let John read the room — he's a PRO at it..
The band even learned our first dance song just for our wedding, as it wasn't on their list of 1,000 tracks they already knew — we hadn't expected it, and it was a sweet surprise.

He was super responsive to emails, easy to talk to on the phone, and very, VERY good at his job.
The band even learned a new song for [our] first dance, which was terrific.. His acoustic guitarist played our cocktail hour & everyone loved it.
John and his band sounded amazing and kept the dance floor lively, and they brought their own lights, which gave the space around the band a fun feel. They were wonderful!
