Circuit Center Ballroom Wedding - Bride and Groom on BridgeJohn and Mary Jane’s immaculate early Spring wedding may have been met with a few showers, but nothing could rain on the happiness of this couple’s big day! The generosity of the bride and groom, their fun-loving guests, and the lively music of the John Parker Band made this a reception one for the record books!

Accomplished photographer Nicholas Bombich captured this enchanting wedding perfectly in the photographs below!

The bride’s wedding party prepared for the big day at a local spa before heading across the street to the church. The traditional Roman Catholic ceremony took place at St. Elizabeth’s, where the couple were wed before 125 of their closest friends and family.

The night’s cocktail hour and festivities took place at the Circuit Center & Ballroom, a stunning space that looked totally chic that night thanks to The Fluted Mushroom’s Event Planner, Lori Keller. The bride and groom made their grand entrance just as the afternoon turned to evening, immediately diving into their heartwarming first dance! It was just a matter of time before everyone would be crowding the dance floor alongside the bride and groom!

Guests of all ages came together on the dance floor to celebrate John and Mary Jane’s union. With the help of one of the greatest wedding bands on the East Coast, everyone twisted and shouted their way to the end of the night. Unfortunately, even the most magical evenings must eventually end, but it was a wonderful time while it lasted!

Power Center Ballroom Pittsburgh Wedding - Bride and Groom Holding Hands in Park

Drew and Antoinette threw an exciting wedding that was classically styled with a little pinch of glamour. To keep up the fun, party atmosphere they wanted at their reception, the newlyweds sought the help (and tunes) of the John Parker Band!

Be sure to take a look through the knockout photographs of this happy day, taken by the generous Studio Bash.

The traditional Roman Catholic ceremony took place at the awe-inspiring Saint Paul Cathedral. As the bride walked down the aisle, her long train and cathedral veil trailed behind her, giving her a striking appearance that could even compete with the beauty of the church. Beneath the epic archways and high vaulted ceilings, the loving couple said their vows before friends, family, and God.

After exiting the church, it was on to the reception venue: the Power Center Ballroom. Wedding coordinator Karen White deserves many compliments for ensuring that everything was in order! The room had been decorated in tasteful white and accessorized with dazzling details, such as tall vases filled with pink roses and bows tied neatly around the chairs. It was the perfect setting for a formal dinner. Of course, once dinner came to a close, it was time for the much-anticipated party to begin!

When a florist gets married, you know it’ll be a beautiful wedding!   Laurie’s family owns Gidas Flowers, and she herself is a talented professional florist at the shop.  Not surprisingly, this was one of the most lush and breathtaking weddings the John Parker Band has ever been part of!   Though both the wedding and reception were indoors, Laurie and her team made the Holy Cross Church and the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer feel like a garden, a perfect setting for this beautiful couple on their wedding day. The bride wore a long, trumpet-style lace gown and her bridesmaids were dressed in a bright, leafy green, adding to the springtime garden feel!   Bride and groom and wedding party at Gidas Flowers, the family business, in Pittsburgh.   Top Pittsburgh wedding entertainers, the John Parker Band, joined the newlyweds Jordan and Laurie at their reception, offering hours of music, laughter, and fun for the couple and their guests. Before long, nearly everyone was on the dance floor celebrating!   After the wedding, Laurie sent us an email, saying: “Thank you John- everything was perfect! Everyone has been raving about the band! You really put on a great party!”   Her father was equally impressed, and told us “..You and your band MADE the night, thanks for the great job.”     We’re grateful to Pittsburgh wedding photographer Amber of Amber Marie Photography who captured this stunning wedding, allowing us to share it with you:

Regal and elegant, The Pennsylvanian is a storied and luxurious wedding venue in downtown Pittsburgh.  Formerly a train station, this uniquely majestic venue – with its arched ceilings, rich color palette of gold, silver & subtle color hues – provided the perfect backdrop for Mary & Jon’s wedding reception.

Araujo Photography, amazing Pittsburgh photographers, captured these images of the bride and groom’s special day.

the John Parker Band provided the entertainment & emceeing for Mary and Jon, who with their family & friends danced the night away with a packed dance floor full of fun.

Our very own John Parker was featured in Whirl Magazine– Greater Pittsburgh’s Premier Lifestyle Magazine last month!

“Parker is the picture of style and class as both an entertainer and an emcee”, boasts the article, referencing John and his band’s performing at thousands of events!

John discusses the importance of personalizing music to each wedding; it’s not always about “new” music, but rather about meaningful music– performed by a great wedding band, of course!

After being married at Sacred Heart Church, Jessica and Adrian, along with their family and friends, celebrated at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s Music Hall Foyer. This amazing venue was the perfect backdrop for the Bride and Groom.

Guests enjoyed the music of a pianist (and a surprise dance!) during cocktail hour in the Balcony Foyer before moving to the main hall. With Pittsburgh’s top wedding band and event performer John Parker and The John Parker Band providing awesome entertainment, there was surly no shortage of special moments for Brian Reid of Reid Portraits to capture (a sampling of those photos is below) Jessica and Adrian’s guests danced all night!

A venue this majestic is pretty much all you need for a great wedding. Fun family, friends & great music doesn’t hurt either!

I have had so many great engagements at the Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer – and I always tell my family how nice it is. So imagine my surprise when my favorite people in the whole world came to visit!

My client & the Carnegie staff both have known Sara & Wes from when they were born & were very gracious, & surprised at how big they had gotten – though I’d like to keep them 5 & 6 for a little while longer! 🙂

And my daughter, Sara, wanted to hear her favorite song – “Sara Smile”

Happy days… Here’s to family! – john
