Renaissance Hotel Wedding - Happy Bride and GroomEmily and Garrett’s elegant affair was epic in a million ways, but still managed to retain a distinctly refined air that’s difficult to find in most weddings of this size. The venue ceilings were sky-high, the bride’s train was ample, and the dance floor was bumpin’! To help make this wedding a smash hit, the couple employed the help of The John Parker Band.

The talented team at Araujo Photography was gracious enough to give us these breathtaking photos of the bride and groom’s big day. Take a peek!

The bride and groom made their grand entrance just as the afternoon turned to evening, immediately diving into their heartwarming first dance! “Vegas Live!” was the theme for the 2013 Young Patronesses of the Opera gala held this November at the JW Marriott Hotel, and renowned local entertainers John Parker Band brought the theme to life with a dynamic show worthy of any Las Vegas stage!

As their website explains, the Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO) “is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor, educate and develop the understanding, taste and love of opera in our community.” The organization is comprised of nearly 100 women who volunteer their time to the mission and bring opera education and opportunities to children and adults.

These ladies are tireless in their efforts, and they know how to party too! The 2013 gala shimmered with all the glitz and fun of Vegas, and the band had a blast performing for everyone who came out to generously support the organization.

YPO leaders and supporters even joined the band for a few songs, and president-elect Lee sent us the fantastic photo above! After the event, she wrote, “Thank you for a great job, and being so wonderful to work with. I have encouraged [the President Elect for next year] to use your wonderful band and assured her that you will work with whatever their theme is.”

Thank you to Lee and to the ladies of YPO! It was certainly a night to remember, and we look forward to working with you again for future galas!

The traditional Roman Catholic ceremony took place at the awe-inspiring Saint Paul Cathedral. As the bride walked down the aisle, her long train and cathedral veil trailed behind her, giving her a striking appearance that could even compete with the beauty of the church. Beneath the epic archways and high vaulted ceilings, the loving couple said their vows before friends, family, and God.

When a florist gets married, you know it’ll be a beautiful wedding!   Laurie’s family owns Gidas Flowers, and she herself is a talented professional florist at the shop.  Not surprisingly, this was one of the most lush and breathtaking weddings the John Parker Band has ever been part of!   Though both the wedding and reception were indoors, Laurie and her team made the Holy Cross Church and the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer feel like a garden, a perfect setting for this beautiful couple on their wedding day. The bride wore a long, trumpet-style lace gown and her bridesmaids were dressed in a bright, leafy green, adding to the springtime garden feel!   Bride and groom and wedding party at Gidas Flowers, the family business, in Pittsburgh.   Top Pittsburgh wedding entertainers, the John Parker Band, joined the newlyweds Jordan and Laurie at their reception, offering hours of music, laughter, and fun for the couple and their guests. Before long, nearly everyone was on the dance floor celebrating!   After the wedding, Laurie sent us an email, saying: “Thank you John- everything was perfect! Everyone has been raving about the band! You really put on a great party!”   Her father was equally impressed, and told us “..You and your band MADE the night, thanks for the great job.”     We’re grateful to Pittsburgh wedding photographer Amber of Amber Marie Photography who captured this stunning wedding, allowing us to share it with you:

Fun-loving couple Kim and Mike were married on a beautiful Saturday evening at St. Patrick Church in Palm Beach Gardens. Guest were greeted with a cocktail reception and classical music by top Florida wedding performer, John Parker, to start the party. After the happy couple arrived, they entered the British Ballroom, where they spent the evening dancing and celebrating with their family, friends, and The John Parker Band!

Couple shares first dance to John Parker Band.

Theresa & Dale started their life together with a simple, intimate ceremony at home with their closest family and friends. After the “I Do,” they moved the party to the historic Riverside Hotel, where the couple celebrated their marriage with a luau featuring premier Florida wedding entertainers, the John Parker Band!

Many more guests joined the couple to drink, dance, and celebrate with the couple at the Polynesian-themed event. The beautiful cake was decorated with seashells, guests wore leis, a ukelele player joined the band on stage, and flip-flop sandals were wrapped up as a gift for attendees. What a fun celebration of the couple’s love!

When Emily and Ben were planning their Chicago wedding, they made sure to incorporate important traditions from her home state of Pennsylvania: homemade cookies and premier Pittsburgh wedding band, the John Parker Band! The band was a huge hit at the couple’s rustic chic outdoor wedding and reception at the Galleria Marchetti, an exquisite wedding venue in the heart of Chicago. The evening’s photographer, Olivia Leigh described the reception as “one of the most epic dance parties I photographed this year.” EVERYBODY got out on the dance floor to celebrate with this fun couple. One guest even joined the band on stage during We Are Young, a song the band learned and performed just for the newlyweds, and the bride’s mom shared a family tradition by singing along with the band to New York, New York!

“I had so many people approach me that night, referring to the band, saying “best….decision….of your life”. I might argue that my new husband was the BEST decision, but you and your band were definitely a close second. You far exceeded our expectations!” – Bride Emily

Thank you to Olivia Leigh for sharing these incredible photos of the evening, and congratulations to Emily & Ben!
